Ivor Knurled Brass Task Table Lamp
The Ivor Knurled Brass Task Table Lamp draws a single brass tube up from a weighted cylindrical base and curves it over into a small cylindrical head. Both the head and the base are wrapped in a fine knurled texture — a diamond-cut grip pattern borrowed from machined hardware — while the arm between them stays smooth.
Everything on the lamp is brass, so the contrast comes from surface rather than colour: matte knurling against a polished stem, with a small knob standing proud on the base. It measures L 8.3″ × W 3.9″ × H 19.3″, plug-in for a standard outlet. Takes one GU10 lamp (not included; a 3000K warm white suits it best).

Knurling was invented so fingers would not slip on metal.
It belongs to dials, tool handles and camera rings — cut into the parts a hand has to hold. On this lamp it wraps the head and the base and nothing else, which is to say it wraps exactly the two places you reach for. The arm between them stays smooth.
