The Ambrose Amber Dome Floor Lamp hangs a wide amber dome from a slim walnut-finished stem set on a weighted base. The amber isn't a coating on a white shade — the colour is in the material, so the light that reaches the room comes through warmed rather than simply dimmed.

That single choice is what separates it from the white-shade floor lamps it sits next to: an amber dome turns any warm bulb into something deeper and more golden, the kind of light a room wants after dark rather than at nine in the morning. At 60.2″ tall on a 13.7″ footprint it slots into a corner or beside a reading chair without crowding it, and a foot switch on the cord means you never have to reach up to the shade.
